The Cubist Period occurred in the 20th century. Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque were credited with this style in 1907 and 1914. The Cubist Artwork was basically created abstracted and three dimensional shapes on a two dimensional surface. A cubist artist would usually show more than one view at a time.
David Hockney is an artist. He has done many different kinds of work and many different media and styles. For instance, he is a painter, photographer, designer, and many more. He was known to be one of the most famous artists of his time. I notice that he shows all of the sides of one object on a two dimensional page. He might have been influenced by other artists like Picasso.
