1. Series of shots- Multiple shots that look alike of the same person maybe with a different expression or different pose in each photo.
2. Looking within the frame- There are several objects or people within the photograph. People may be making eye contact with other people or other objects.
3. Play with eye contact- Playing with eye contact means the person does not have to be looking directly at the camera.
4. Alter your perspective- Altering your perspective is a common way of talking a portrait. The photographer can be above or below the person posing at the camera.
5. Introduce a prop- Introducing a prop can give the photograph a lot of meaning. It also makes this look a lot more interesting. Sometimes this causes the viewer to look at the object/prop itself and takes the focus off the person.
