Pollution in China

Each photograph is purging with emotion. The photographer is capturing the way of life of these poor people. Each photo has a different meaning. Personally, looking at every one of these photos, I automatically compared to these pictures to my own life and how fortunate I am to be living where I am. I found every photo very impressive the way he captured so much in such a simple photo in an unusual environment. I think that each photograph helped the text a lot. I was reading the text and then when looking at the photographs below, the photos proved that pollution is as bad as they are stating in the text. The article would not be a strong and powerful with just pictures and without the text, and also the other way around. Each part enhances the other.

Culture Clash Reflection

learned a lot throughout this assignment. One thing that really stood out to me, was the differences and similarities in Beijing. Just by looking at all of their photos, I learned a lot and find their way of living very interesting. I might be visiting Beijing in June, so I found this project really fun knowing that I am going to be living in their environment for a couple of days.

One part of this project that was challenging for me, is making sure that everything in the project flowed and made sense. I wasn’t sure if putting a ferris wheel in the middle of a city, but overall, I like the way my project turned out. Another difficulty that I came across, was adjusting the lighting. This project was very time consuming and the lighting was one of the most time consuming parts, in my opinion. In the end, I went from knowing nothing in Photoshop, to knowing enough to get by. I really enjoyed this project and hope to do more with Photoshop in the future.

Holiday Spirit, Anna Bouton

Christmas is my favorite time of year. I love decorating the tree and I love how it lights up the room. I really liked this assignment mostly because it got me very excited for Christmas day. Drinking hot chocolate by the fire and the Christmas tree is so relaxing. Looking outside the window and seeing snow makes me really want to have a white Christmas. 

"Food" Anna

I was sitting with my friend in the lodge at the Sunday River ski resort on a freezing cold day. It was below zero when we decided to take a break inside. The cinnamon taste and warmth quickly warmed us up. The size of this cinnamon bun is ridiculous, it's much bigger than the size of my hand.

Out of the Window, Anna Bouton

Around my house is very modern. I think that this picture in my kitchen is really fun and I wanted to get a shot in a different perspective. I knelt down on the ground and took this quickly moving the camera. I had the camera on a certain setting that made the picture take quickly. I actually did not mean to take this photo like this. I thought that it was going to come out clear, but I actually like this so much better because the movement in this picture makes it unique.

Spooky Scary Image

Taking this photo made me feel slightly uncomfortable. I did not like having to walk through this grave yard- especially on Halloween. I felt slightly creeped out and anxious to get out of there. Personally, I did not really enjoy this assignment.
